Make Demos
Record in a cellar ?
* I mainly record on my Roland VS-880EX. It's a multi-track hard disk recorder, with more than 200 high quality effects. I use it in combination with a Mac 6600/66. I also make use of Midi applications. My Mac is synchronized with a Roland JV-30 synth. This works great.
* I also use a G3 mac with Pro-Tools. It has a 24 bit Audio Media III, card on board for mixdown. I can use all sound formats, like AIFFS and WAV's.
* Quality listening happens with, KRK-Rok's studio monitors. I use 3 other speaker pairs, too check my mixes. People from around the globe, have sent me compliments about such good sound quality ....
* An "extra monitor" - is a graphic analiser/equaliser, with a built-in Expander. It helps for focussing on details. It gives me more frequency information, and in colour, when I work on EQ ..
* The Roland VS 880EX is the centerpiece of my studio. With a latch 'start-stop-record' footswitch I automate parts. The use of MIDI & Syncing has had an impact on all my recordings.
* I use small high quality tools. An 'Audio Buddy' pre-amp, with phantom power - for those sensitive condensor microphones, and more recent a 'Blue Tube' by Presonus was added. I use them as inputs, and they emphasise the quality of mikes & instruments, and they keep the audio signal discrete ..
* A sound handy-man? Yes, the entire setup, recorder, mikes, pre-amps, my Sennheiser headphones, and cables, can fit into a big suitcase, to take it out for a LIVE gig, or any other location.

I help song writers & musicians to record their music.
I help song writers & musicians, to record, and prepare for big studio productions, in making a pre-production. Poeple know me by now. They talk. Often a friend of a friend, who heard from a friend, comes over.
They appreciate my dedication to high sound quality, while we focus on the most musically sounding demo.
Differences between demos and professional made CD's have faded .. Professionals have the more hands-on- knowlegde, and usaully more expensive tools. It must be said, that "what makes something into a good recording", is related to the technique, a great work atmosphere, and the man behind the tools...
I'm just one of them. I'll always make extra time free - to get things done for the better - in a relaxed way..
I will make a pratical lay-out of the song - show the structure on my Mac, and make it all visible.
Midi applications help me to make it audible, while we stay in focus on the song.

I enjoy older pop music, (70-90'ties) with a growing affection for acoustic music .. I enjoy dedication. When my dayjob is done, and the kids are off to bed, I spend my time in "my studio". It beats watching TV, anytime ..
Who is Hano?
----------------
The son of my father. He was a TV technician, later on a radio man. I share the same love for audio technique.
I was told at times that I'm not a common guy. I do have a lively imagination. Also, I humorise a lot. I seem to make a lot of people feel at ease. I love making diner, home coocking, and going out for a chat, and a drink with friends. In the evenings I play on guitar, or bass. I still sing & compose, and do 'that' pretty well, according to a small group of fans. My low voice, and kind smile, puts poeple at ease. They find it warm sounding, even sexy ...
When you're in the neignourhood, you are most welcome to ring my doorbell.
No hassle - no fuzz ... Stay cool & be relaxed ..
