In the recording studio ...

I combine my passion for music with a love for technique.
I enjoy both in here. I'm doing it for 28 years now.  It all add's up
in time & gear. I still learn new things every week..
I work with local
bands, I play bass and guitar, and I help sing-a-song writers in making demo's.
I also teach basic vocal techniques.

One of my pupils was selected for "STAR Academy"last year
.

From the beginner upto the higher skilled ones, they all want a good quality.
That's where we become friends. My know-how in music & recording was
translated into the digital world in 1999. The Roland company answered my
recording hopes - for a versalite and high quality recording tool - when their
VS-880 EX  came out.. It can be linked, synced, and used - in many recording
situations ..  Live at home .. in the bigger studio ..

Digital recording & technique
__________________________

I started with a Tascam 244 (a 4 track recorder) with DBX noise reduction.
I had 4 tracks available, as both sides of the tape ran in the same direction.
I hoped to be able to sound like the Beatles. (Big smile

But "that" was in my mind. I was 19 then.  At the age of 21, I got my first Apple SE, and I started using Midi software & sequencing. I became a fan of the music generating:"Band in a Box"..
It also runs on PC's. I still use my first Opcode sequencer: EZ-Vision in alliance with it.

In December 2005, I added a G3 Mac with a Audio Media III card. I make use  of Pro-Tools,  and Logic
for digital transfers from other recording platforms.

I do feel young, because of music. I keep my equipment in good shape, and use it as
often as possible, staying in touch with all it's possibilities. I can be found as an active contributor at the :
http://www.vsplanet.com  It's a Roland VS-recorder users forum with very lively conversations.

My VS-recorder keeps me impressed. It takes years to reach the borders of it's posibilities.
It's a very creative tool with a lot of usefull built-in effects under it's hood.
I still dream about all the music that I would love to record. I get good results, s
till there is always better. In many ways I'm a happy bloke, with music in my heart ... Cool

I have to thank my wife and 3 kids, who have allowed me soo much time with my music passion.

I use my VS 880EX the most. I can edit every moment, in all the tracks, (256 in total)
and I use many of it's great built-in effects.
I make my own masters for audio CD's,
all with 1 and the same tool. This recorder is the best thing I have ever used.
It's great & very stable working technology. It has never crashed in 9 years time.

I love sharing what I know, with other recording enthousiasts around the globe,
and on the internet. I made this site in English, to make communication more evident.
Had it been it in Dutch (my mother tonque), maybe less people could enjoy it.

Thanks for reading. ~ Hano
